Maestro Ekaterina Andreeva, the founder, artistic director and conductor of the chamber choir “Fortis”, is a Russian choral conductor and teacher, a versatile bright modern musician.
Ekaterina Andreeva was born in 1971 in the city of Leningrad. She graduated from St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after Rimsky-Korsakov, the class of Professor Valery Uspensky.
She began her musical career in 1995 as the conductor of the Children’s Choir of TV and Radio of Saint-Petersburg. Since 2000, she has been a professor at the Rimsky-Korsakov Music High School.
For more than 20 years Ekaterina has participated in concert performances, recordings and tours of the professional group “LegeArtis” (mezzo-soprano).
In 2014 Ekaterina Andreeva organized Children’s Musical Theatre “Image”.
In 2018 the Children’s Choir of the Philharmonic Society of St. Petersburg started its work under Ekaterina’s leadership.
